What is Boxing Day in Canada?
Boxing Day falls every year on the day after Christmas. Boxing Day is a holiday in Toronto and another day to spend with friends and family, time to enjoy Christmas gifts and eat holiday leftovers. The origin of this holiday isn’t widely agreed on. Some people think Boxing Day came from when servants were given the day after Christmas off from work and also received a Christmas present from their masters. While other people think its origin came from collecting money for the poor to be distributed the day after Christmas. Whatever your theory on how this holiday came to be, we can all be thankful for an extra day off of work and more time with family and friends!

Boxing Day at the Toronto Zoo
